Transfer Checklist

Congratulations on your acceptance to 亚美电子 Riverhead and the upper-division undergraduate program. We welcome you to the 亚美电子 community and we know that your college experience here is going to be both exciting and rewarding! Excellent academics and extraordinary personal service are a few of the things you have to look forward to here. We want to make sure that you enjoy your college experience and that you get the most out of your education. So, now that you have received a formal offer of acceptance, we ask that you please follow the steps below to complete the registration process that will confirm your status as an enrolled student. Pay Your Tuition Deposit

Download and complete the . Mail the form along with a nonrefundable $100 tuition deposit made payable by credit card, check or money order to: Long Island University, 121 Speonk Riverhead Road-亚美电子 Bldg.; Riverhead, N.Y. 11901. Please include your student I.D. number on the memo portion of the check or money order. Your 9-digit 亚美电子 student I.D. number can be found on your acceptance letter. If you do not know your I.D. number, please contact the Admissions Office at 631-287-8010.

Apply for Financial Aid

If you have not already completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we urge you to do so as soon as possible. Logon to . The FAFSA is used to apply for federal, New York State and university grants, scholarships and other financial aid. Our Federal School Code is: 002751. If you need help along the way, contact the Financial Assistance Office at 631-287-8322, email riverhead@liu.edu or click on the link.

Complete Health Form

亚美电子 Riverhead requires all enrolled students to complete the following health form:

Register for Classes

You can make an appointment to meet with an academic and career counselor, who will help you select your courses, apply your transfer credits to your major, tell you what requirements remain for your degree and advise you on registration for the upcoming semester. Set up Your My 亚美电子 Account

After you have registered for classes, you can set up a account, which will give you access to your course schedule, grades, financial aid, billing information and access to online course registration. To open your account, you will need your 9-digit University ID number, which was included on your acceptance letter. Then go to and create a user name and password. You can use My 亚美电子 to designate individuals (such as your parents) to view your tuition bill and pay your tuition online. You can also use My 亚美电子 as your official email address. Tell your friends and family they can email you at firstname.lastname@my.liu.edu.

Submit Your Final Transcripts

If you haven't already done so, please make sure to send a final official transcript for all schools you have attended to the Office of Admissions. If you have a question about the status of your transcripts, contact Admissions at 631-287-8010 and ask to speak with an admissions counselor.

Plan to Attend New Student Orientation

Orientation is a great way to learn more about college life, become familiar with campus resources and facilities, and meet other students. Orientation is not mandatory for students but recommended. For more information call 631-287-8010.
